Dear Family Members and Friends,
Please note that due to the changing regulatory guidance, Renaissance Care Center often updates procedures. The guidance for visiting residents seems to be one of the policies most frequently modified by the state as our region’s infection rate changes. Therefore, we recommend visiting this page often for the most current information
These measures reflect the current guidance released by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
Indoor Family Visitation: Due to current mitigation and guidance, indoor visitation is currently suspended.
Outdoor Family Visitation: Due to current mitigation and guidance, outdoor visitation is currently suspended.
Phones and Video Calls: We help residents stay socially connected with face-to-face calls. Please call us to arrange a call so that we can assist the resident with the use of an iPad. We can work with any electronic platform you use.
Visits outside the facility: Residents are not allowed to leave the facility and return, for concern about introducing the virus to our community. Residents are assisted to and from necessary medical appointments.
Delivering items for residents: Dropping off supplies, medication and/or food for residents is welcomed. If you are dropping off items, we ask that you pull up to the front door and drop any items in the foyer. Please do not linger in the foyer. Your cooperation is most appreciated at this time as we know how difficult it can be. If you are unable to shop for items for residents, let us know and our staff will help!
Essential medical visitors. Essential medical visitors are allowed in the building to provide required services to residents. Essential medical visitors are screened for symptoms and having temperatures taken upon entering the building.
Compassionate Care Exception: Special consideration will be given for family contact during end-of-life situations as well as compassionate care situations. Arrangements must be made in advance with our Administrator, and policies followed carefully. All approved visitors are screened for symptoms and having temperatures taken upon entering the building.
